2025 Conference - Seattle
The 76th annual conference for the Human Services Finance Officers (HSFO) will be held at the Hilton Motif in Seattle, Washington! Join us for a week of learning, networking and fun! For Chief Financial Officers, Budget Directors, Grants Managers, Cost Allocation Administrators and other financial professionals in the Health and Human Services sector, there is no better organization and conference in the United States. Learning objectives will focus on the financial and programmatic funding of large federal programs such as Medicaid, Title IV-E, TANF, SNAP, and more. Experts from states, tribes, counties and vendors from across the country will present on a variety of topics such as federal changes, cost allocation, financial requirements, rate setting, internal controls, risk mitigation, revenue enhancements and grants management. Cost Allocation - Basic
This training covers the basics of public assistance cost allocation plans, including regulatory requirements and plan development processes. It also offers strategies for using cost allocation plans as a revenue optimization tool, with a focus on compliance with federal regulations. Participants will also learn about current issues affecting states and their cost allocation plans in the current budgetary climate.
Grants Management - Basic
This training covers the basics of grants management for Health and Human Services type agencies. Participants will be able to gain valuable knowledge on a variety of concepts related to grants management including rules and regulations, grant lifecycle, terms and conditions, financial management best practices, reporting, monitoring and so much more.
